The Croatian national team participated in the 16th European Championship in hunting archery, conducted based on the rules of FITASC (European Championship Combined Game Shooting) in Lithuania from July 5 to 7. The team was led by Nevenko Jakopović, the vice-president of the Croatian Hunting Association and president of the Commission for Hunting Shooting of the HLS, who also served as the selector of the Croatian national team, along with Hrvoje Kukas, the secretary of the Croatian Hunting Association. The national team comprised six shooters: Stipe Šabić, Ante Matak, Mario Genzić, Ivica Pleša, Josip Milković, and Miljenko Kos. Prior to the official start of the competition, a ceremonial opening took place in Švenčionys, where the team had completed their training earlier that morning. Subsequently, 177 competitors from 13 countries, along with participants from various national teams, hosts, and guests, convened after the opening ceremony.
