The Croatian Hunting Federation wishes all Croatian sportsmen and women a successful performance at the Olympic Games in Paris, especially the Croatian Hunting Federation members. Due to his exceptional sports results, Giovanni Cernogoraz, our longtime member, gold Olympian and the world and European champion in shooting flying targets, had the great honour of carrying the Croatian flag at the opening ceremony with judoka Barbara Matić on Friday, July 26.

As per the timetable, Giovanni Cernogoraz is scheduled to compete in the trap qualifications on July 29th at 09:00 a.m. The following day, on July 30th, there will be trap qualifications at 09:00 a.m. and the trap final at 15:30.

Giovanni Cernogoraz won the gold for the Republic of Croatia at the 2012 Olympics in London by hitting 24 out of 25 clay pigeons in the final and all 6 in the shootout for the gold medal.

Last year, the Croatian Olympic Committee named him the Athlete of the Year, and the Sports News organisation recognised him as the best sportsman of the year.

Let's send Giovanni our best wishes for a steady hand and the accomplishment of all his athletic aspirations at the Olympics!
